Update: Tourism & North America
February 14, 2011It’s great to get the news that a US Airways route is due to open from Charlotte, North Carolina into Dublin. Hopefully this hub will provide easier access to Ireland’s new and frequent vistors this year. According to Tourism Ireland’s Chief Executive, Niall Gibbons, there are more developments such as this in the pipeline.
This all comes as Tourism Ireland starts its North American promotions for 2011. If you’re Stateside watch out for major Ireland advertising online, on the radio, in the papers and on tv. There are great experiences to be had along with good value, and Tourism Ireland plans to remind us. Hopefully this promotion will further push Ireland up the American traveller’s wishlist. Currently Ireland ranks fifth…not that that’s bad either! Watch out for the Ireland stand at all major travel events this year.
